This Carrier board is the newest addition to the Squid Carrier Boards™ Family. It supports the latest PCI Express and MiniPCI Express specifications and allows PCI Express Gen 3 and USB 3.0 communication between the motherboard and each of 6 MiniPCI Express circuits.
It is a standard one-slot wide, half-height (2U), half-length PCI express board that can connect to the motherboard PCI express connector via an x4 or x1 interchangeable PCI express upstream Adapter.
The Squid PCI Express Carrier board for MiniPCIe modules is the first product in the Squid PCI Express Carrier Board™ family. The PCI Express Carrier board was designed to expand modern motherboards with a PCI Express interface. It connects of up to 8 MiniPCI Express half or full-size MiniPCI Express modules to the one motherboard’s PCI Express slot. It supports PCI Express Gen 2 and USB 2.0 connection between the motherboard and eight MiniPCI express circuits.
