The Arowana PCI Express SSD board is the smallest carrier board on the market. This PCI Express Carrier board was designed to expand modern motherboards or embedded systems that have a PCI Express interface. It can also be vertically installed in any 1U servers or appliances.
It is retained inside a computer chassis by using the unique PCI Express add-in board Retainer (US Patent #7,850,475). The Retainer securely holds the PCIe SSD board in the PCI express slot.
PCI Express SSD Board supports x1 PCI Express Gen 3 upstream connection to a motherboard. The standard version of the SSD board has 1TB storage capacity (with optionally capacity of 512 MB, 256 MB or 128 MB).
The operating temperature range for the SSD board is from – 40 C° to 95 C°. The robust design, 1U form factor and industrial operating temperature make this type of SSD board unique for industrial and automotive markets.
