    The Multi-Interface Test Backplane was designed to support hardware and software designers who need to be able to plug products with different interfaces (into the host computer). This backplane expands the x1 PCI Express or ExpressCard® interface (of a desktop/laptop) into x16 PCI Express (4 lanes), 32-bit PCI, MiniPCI, MiniPCIe, and ExpressCard® interfaces via a 7 ft CAT6 cable. Having all these interfaces located on a single backplane allows designers to keep the host system unchanged during debugging.

The PCI Express Cable Extender allows easy access from both sides of the PCI Express board that are plugged into the Extender. It has overcurrent protection and provides access to the PCI Express bus JTAG signals.
